A name or location submitted through a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies the results. Plaquemines Parish Criminal History does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.

An email sent to us may be kept for the purpose of preparing and delivering a response. Messages remain within our organization unless disclosure is required by a legal obligation.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Plaquemines Parish Criminal History does not compile, maintain, or sell a database of personal criminal-record information. It provides general directions to records held by the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office, the Twenty-Fifth Judicial District Court Clerk, the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification and Information (BCII), and the Louisiana State Police State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry. Louisiana Public Records Law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., governs access to qualifying records held by their public custodians. Dissemination of Louisiana computerized criminal-history information is separately controlled by La. R.S. 15:587. Visitor information collected here is not assembled into reports about other people or into consumer reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes presented on the website. Information entered in those tools is handled under the provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider determines its own retention and disclosure practices, which we do not control. Visitors should read the applicable provider policy before starting a search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office, court services, Louisiana agencies, legal resources, or outside search providers. Once a visitor follows one of those links, the destination's privacy policy applies. Its terms should be reviewed before personal information is submitted.
