Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to and use of this website. Browsing a page, reading its content, or submitting a search means that you accept all terms stated below. If you disagree with any condition, you must stop using the site.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website is not connected with a local, Louisiana, or federal government agency. The site and its advertising partners do not provide services for credit decisions, employment screening, insurance underwriting, tenant screening, or another purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Plaquemines Parish and Louisiana criminal-record resources are presented for general reference. We are neither a consumer reporting agency nor a private investigation business.

1. What This Website Is

Plaquemines Parish Criminal History is a privately maintained reference resource with no government affiliation. It does not hold official criminal records, perform official background checks, retrieve records for visitors, or submit filings on anyone’s behalf.

The site directs readers to the public offices and systems that maintain Plaquemines Parish records. These include the Sheriff’s records unit, the Twenty-Fifth Judicial District Court and Clerk, the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification and Information (BCII), and the Louisiana State Police State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry. Links may also lead to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, you agree that you will not:

  • Interfere with the site or prevent others from using it
  • Use bots, scraping software, or other automated collection tools
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any account, system, or data
  • Use information to threaten, stalk, or harass another person
  • Rely on site content for housing, hiring, credit, or insurance decisions
  • Violate any applicable local, Louisiana, or federal law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use material found here or through a linked service to intimidate, threaten, stalk, harass, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct may also violate criminal law. This restriction is especially important for information from the Louisiana State Police State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry. Registry data supports public safety awareness. It must not be used for vigilantism, employment blacklisting, housing discrimination, or abuse of a listed person.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not create background checks, credit reports, or any other consumer report. The site and its advertising partners do not offer tools designed to evaluate rental applications, screen job candidates, set insurance rates, or assess credit. You agree that site information and linked tools will not be used to:

  • Set insurance premiums or evaluate creditworthiness
  • Make a hiring or termination decision
  • Screen a renter or housing applicant
  • Determine access to a license, permit, or public benefit
  • Carry out any other activity regulated by the FCRA

An official check needed for a regulated purpose must come from BCII or an FCRA-compliant screening provider. Louisiana computerized criminal-history dissemination is governed in part by La. R.S. 15:587 and does not create an unrestricted anonymous public name-search service.

5. No Legal Advice

Website content is general information, not legal advice. Descriptions of Plaquemines Parish records cannot determine how a warrant, charge, conviction, or Louisiana expungement rule applies to a particular person. Seek advice about an individual matter from an attorney licensed in Louisiana.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are offered “as is.” We make no promise that:

  • Partner search results will be accurate or complete
  • Every page will be free from errors, defects, or security flaws
  • The website will remain continuously available
  • Information will always be complete, current, or correct

Criminal records can change when charges are filed or dismissed and when a court seals or expunges a record. Some gaps and delays are unavoidable. Nothing published here is an official statement by BCII, a court, the Sheriff, the registry, or another public body. Access to Louisiana public records is subject to the Louisiana Public Records Law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., and applicable exceptions.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Pages may link to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office, courts, Louisiana agencies, legal-aid resources, and outside search providers. Following a link takes you to a service that we neither operate nor control. We do not accept responsibility for its content, availability, prices, data practices, or results. Review the outside provider’s own terms before proceeding.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, logos, graphics, and code presented on this site are owned by Plaquemines Parish Criminal History or its content partners. Without prior written consent, you may not modify, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from that material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for damages arising from use of the website. This limitation includes harm connected to a decision based on information obtained here or from a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to protect and hold us harmless against claims, demands, or legal proceedings caused by your use of the site or your violation of these terms. This obligation includes related costs and reasonable legal fees.

11. Governing Law

Louisiana law governs these terms. Any dispute associated with use of this website must be brought in a court located in the State of Louisiana.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these conditions at any time. A revision becomes effective when the updated terms are posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may suspend, limit, or end access to the website at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected term will be modified only to the extent required to make it enforceable.
